Pacquiao vs Bradley Fight Replay

Bradley begging Pacquiao for a rematch

He sent the boxing world down laughing hoarse on the floor with an invitation to his rematch with Manny Pacquiao well ahead of their world welterweight championship fight in Las Vegas last June 9.

Sorry, but after the unthinkable happened, reigning world welterweight boxing champ Tim Bradley has been going through desperate times selling himself to Team Pacquiao.

Remember how Bradley had cried out that Pacquiao was scared of him.

That was indeed a dreadful way of selling Tim Bradley, the undefeated boxer.

Knowing the old Pacquiao, the Filipino boxing superhero would have jumped up and told tipsy Tim: “Lace on (those gloves) bum!”

* * *

Pacquiao, renewed, has remained unmoved.

Last heard of, Bradley was obviously on the bottom of the Pacman lottery list.

It’s like this. The announcement of Pacquiao’s next foe has been rescheduled again for early next week. Now, with Bradley feeling terribly threatened by Miguel Cotto and Juan Manuel Marquez, not necessarily in that order, the (cheaply) assumed world welterweight title-holder has gone begging on his knees.

“Pacquiao can choose anyone he wants to fight, but I don’t know how he can pick anyone other than me,” Bradley told Lance Pugmire of the LA Times.

“I am the champion. If he wants the belt back, he has to come through me to get it. He relinquished it to me. Regardless of what everyone might think of how I beat him, I’ve got a win on my resume over Manny Pacquiao, and it’s going to be in the history books that way.”

* * *

Bradley was neither asking nor begging. He was already twisting other people’s arms in trying to sell his dubious worth.

Of course, he has a problem. Pacquiao didn’t have to be told it was not himself but the blind judges who relinquished the world crown to the often-retreating American.

Another thing: Pacquiao is fully aware that picking Bradley (as his next opponent) would be foul, dirty as approving of the June 9 fraud, the way the blind Nevada State Attorney General has swept the on-ring robbery of the century under the rug.

* * *

Continued salesman Bradley: “There [were] less than a million PPV buys last June 9, but we’ll meet a number everyone will be happy with because of the controversy. People know who I am now because of the controversy. I didn’t get crazy beat in that fight. It was competitive.”

Meanwhile, Pugmire added Bradley will report back to his Indio camp for the first time since the June 9 bout on Monday after his broken foot and twisted ankle had healed.

There was one commentary which yesterday stated Pacquiao handlers were being “super cautious because of how bad the Pacman’s last two fights have been.”

Of course, it’s also worth noting that the last bout did drag but only after Bradley, who had called Pacquiao scared, shifted to a cheap cowering mode in the second half.

Pacquiao won over Bradley after WBO review

An official review showed Manny Pacquiao to be the undisputed winner but the Filipino ring icon, feeling vindicated, said he would not accept the welterweight crown the judges had taken from him and given to Timothy Bradley—even if the American gave it back. Pacquiao would rather that the title be declared vacant by the World Boxing Organization (WBO), which had sanctioned the controversial June 9 bout. And in a jab at ring judges, Pacquiao said the fight should serve them a lesson. Pacquiao made the statements after a five-member WBO panel confirmed Thursday what everybody knows—that he was the lopsided winner in his fight with Bradley. If it’s any consolation to Pacquiao and his fans, Boxrec.com, which chronicles the ring records of all boxers, put a footnote to Bradley’s record: “After a thorough review by five veteran judges commissioned by the WBO, Pacquiao was declared the unanimous decision winner by the panel.” WBO president Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel told RingTV.com that the unanimous decision reached by the review panel of judges wasn’t even close. In all their scorecards, Pacquiao dominated Bradley—117-111, 117-111, 118-110, 116-112 and, the closest, 115-113. ‘I was vindicated’ Informed of the panel’s decision, Pacquiao told the Philippine Daily Inquirer over the phone he was happy “the findings of the five-man panel of the WBO declared me as the winner. I am happy that in the end I was vindicated.” The 12-round fight held at MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas had shockingly gone Bradley’s way, with judges Duane Ford and CJ Ross scoring it 115-113 for the unbeaten American. Judge Jerry Roth also saw it 115-113, but in Pacquiao’s favor. Despite the panel’s verdict, however, the WBO won’t reverse the original decision or force Bradley to surrender the crown. “The only thing that we can do is authorize a rematch,” Valcarcel said. “We cannot go any further than that. That is in our rules.” ‘Truth has come out’ Pacquiao knows a reversal of the decision is far-fetched. “To me it’s no longer important if the WBO would not overturn the decision of the judges,” Pacquiao said. “The truth has come out and boxing fans got the justice they deserve.” He said in a radio interview that even if Bradley decided to give him his welterweight belt back, he would not accept it. Top Rank honcho Bob Arum, who promotes both Pacquiao and Bradley, was also elated by the result of the review, which was done without the ringside commentaries that accompanied the earlier fight. “That’s a Solomon-like conclusion,” Arum told RingTV.com. “Paco is a good man, he really is. I have great respect for him and what he says. “It’s appropriate for him to make that final conclusion.” Fight with Marquez Valcarcel, who awarded Pacquiao with a diamond ring symbolic of his selection as Fighter of the Decade two days before the bout, said Bradley’s manager Cameron Dunkin was also furnished the result of the review. The 80-year-old Arum, however, isn’t too keen about an immediate rematch between Pacquiao and Bradley as it may not be financially viable. What the Hall of Fame promoter has in mind is a fourth showdown between Pacquiao and the Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez possibly on November 10—and in Mexico. Pacquiao said he was leaving his options open and would decide by the second and third week of July. “It’s okay if we [him and Bradley] will have a rematch. Marquez is also in line and so is (Floyd) Mayweather and anybody else my promoter chooses.” Up to Manny For Arum, however, the decision rests entirely with Pacquiao. “My first stop on any quest to determine what to do next is that I have to talk to the guy who is the money generator, and that’s Manny Pacquiao,” Arum said. “Then I have to determine after discussions with him what he wants to do next and we’ll go from there. Until Manny makes a determination, then I’m like a dog chasing its tail.” The uproar the dubious decision generated was so loud that US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Senator John McCain proposed legislation calling for the formation of a national boxing commission. Reid, a Democrat from Nevada who used to fight as an amateur middleweight, while McCain, a Republican from Arizona who used to box when he attended the US Naval Academy, introduced legislation that would create the United States Boxing Commission. The Nevada State Athletic Commission, which supervised the June 9 bout that generated nearly $9 million in gate receipts and probably over 900,000 pay-per-view buys (roughly equivalent to $50 million), also intends to review the fight footage with the three judges who rewarded Bradley with the split decision. WBO challenged: Right wrong Pacquiao, recently named by Forbes magazine as the world’s second highest-paid athlete (after Floyd Mayweather) with earnings of $62 million last year, said it wasn’t just a victory for him but for boxing fans and his countrymen. “May this serve as a lesson to the judges,” said Pacquiao. “I just hope this would restore the trust of the people in boxing.” While Pacquiao, a representative from Sarangani, has accepted the loss of his title, his chief of staff in Congress, lawyer Jeng Gacal, is unsatisfied with what transpired. “I am challenging the WBO to correct a wrong,” Gacal told the Inquirer. “They found an injustice and stared at it blankly. They should correct it. They should do what is right and just,” Gacal said. “Otherwise they will be allowing incompetence and (perhaps) corruption to prevail.” After attending to the needs of his flashflood-ravaged constituents in Sarangani, Pacquiao and wife Jinkee flew to Vigan City on Thursday to attend the birthday celebration of Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson. The Pacquiaos, however, did not use their newly purchased helicopter for the flight to Vigan. Thanking God The couple will be returning to the United States on Saturday to rejoin their four children who were left behind and continue their family vacation. Pacquiao told Vigan reporters: “I am happy that the truth came out. I thank all the people and God.” Pacquiao said his next opponent had yet to be decided, adding he had yet to talk with Arum about a rematch with Bradley.

Election lawyer Romulo Macalintal files suit over controversial decision in Pacquiao-Bradley fight

MANILA, Philippines – A Filipino lawyer has filed a complaint before the Nevada Attorney General’s Office questioning the result of the Manny Pacquiao -Timothy Bradley fight.
Election lawyer Romulo Macalintal said his complaint addressed to Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto “may also be treated as a class suit on behalf of those boxing fans who also deserved to be heard of their complaint and grievances and whose number is so huge that it is impracticable to include them in this letter-complaint.”
The complaint was dated June 15 and emailed to reporters on June 17.
Macalintal said he was one of the millions of boxing fans “whose right to a fair and credible verdict in any sporting event is entitled to the protection by the state where the said event is held.”
Macalintal watched the fight inside the MGM Grand Hotel Boxing Arena and was seated at Seat No. 4, Row E, Floor Section. He has been a boxing fan since the 70s. He has a scrapbook of the fights and life of boxing legend Muhammad Ali whom he personally met in 1975 in Manila.
He said his own personal scorecards were similar to other fanatics and experts, which showed that Pacquiao won the fight over Bradley.
“It is (my) humble submission that whatever will be the results of the investigation or inquiry…will surely be of great help and guidance in future sports activities sanctioned by the State of Nevada for the protection of all sports enthusiast and those who have all the rights to demand and claim fair and credible system of officiation,” Macalintal said.
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has also submitted a request for inquiry to the Nevada Attorney General.

Pacquiao thinking of KO against Bradley

LAS VEGAS—He’d never say it openly but Manny Pacquiao intends to knock out Timothy Bradley when they clash on Saturday night (Sunday morning in Manila).
The admission came from renowned trainer Freddie Roach in an interview with Manila-based sportswriters at the Top Rank Gym here.
“He talked about a knockout for the first time and said he would like to get a knockout,” said Roach, who will be inducted into the boxing Hall of Fame on Sunday.
“Usually he keeps it inside,” Roach said after Pacquiao’s workout on Thursday, his last before staking his World Boxing Organization welterweight crown against the unbeaten American.
The new fire in Pacquiao’s belly sent Roach’s hopes soaring for a stoppage.
He wants Pacquiao to prove wrong those doubters and detractors who claim that Pacquiao’s speed and power are on the wane, following four straight decision wins.
And Roach thinks Bradley, young and aggressive, fits the bill.
“Manny will take him to school,” vowed Roach. “I know this is a big opportunity for him, but it came too soon.”
Lacks skill and experience
Roach said Pacquiao would expose the 28-year-old Bradley, who boasts as many wins as his age but has scored only 12 knockouts.
“Bradley is durable and resilient, but he still lacks the skill and experience. He has never fought at this (elite) level.”
After studying tapes of Bradley’s fights, Roach noticed that the WBO light welterweight king hasn’t changed much.
“He’s still the same and commits the same mistakes at the same time,” Roach said. “Manny will catch him early on and will knock him out.”
That’s because Roach believes Bradley will fight—not run—in their 12-round battle at MGM Grand Garden Arena. And the bout will make people forget Pacquiao’s unimpressive victory over Juan Manuel Marquez in November last year.
Though the Pacquiao camp had an equally great training camp for that last bout, Roach said things fell apart when Pacquiao’s mind went adrift in the five days before the fight.
Ready for the kill
Roach said he felt the lack of focus in Pacquiao when the champ did not smile when he came out of the dugout, and rushed things from the opening bell.
“His mind wasn’t there.” said Roach, who feels that Pacquiao, with his family around, is primed up for the kill this time.
Other ring experts say Pacquiao will come under much closer scrutiny than usual as he attempts to prove he is still at the height of his powers.
Patching up with Jinkee
The Filipino southpaw narrowly retained his title against Marquez after his preparations had been hampered by various distractions, including marital difficulties.
Pacquiao has since patched up his relationship with his wife Jinkee and has become a much more disciplined boxer after replacing his former pastimes of cockfighting, gambling and nightclubbing with increased bible study and family time.
“No more gambling, no more drinking,” the 33-year-old Pacquiao told Reuters.  “I just want to focus on my career, focus on praying and follow the commandments of God.”
New but good distractions
Asked what had gone wrong for him against the experienced Mexican Marquez, Pacquiao replied: “I am not going to win a good fight all the time. Sometimes a fight comes where I will win after a hard time, and that time was during the last fight.”
He then added: “I was in 100 percent physical condition for that fight but I did have some family issues that I had to deal with. I also underestimated him.”
Roach has no doubt that his fighter, who has been installed by Vegas bookmakers as a 4-1 favorite and who has a career record of 54-3-2 with 38 knockouts, will be at his best against Bradley.
“I am very happy with Manny’s focus,” Roach said. “His focus is the best I have ever seen. Manny got rid of a lot of distractions in his life and he has some new distractions that are a lot better than the old ones.”
Speed and power
Roach explained why he didn’t think the fight with Bradley would last the distance.
“Bradley comes forward and is very aggressive,” said Roach. “He is a well-conditioned athlete and we know we are in for a tough fight. I don’t think we have fought anybody that muscular.
“But I think he will be overwhelmed by Manny’s speed and power. It’s going to be a great fight as long as it lasts. Manny wants to prove he’s not all done like some people say.”
Bradley will be fighting for only his second time at 147 pounds but he firmly believes he has a much greater incentive than his opponent.
‘All or nothing’
“I’m going to put it all on the line on Saturday,” said Bradley, who won his first world title at light welterweight by defeating Britain’s Junior Witter in 2008. “This is not his biggest fight, it’s my biggest fight. It’s all or nothing.”
The eloquent and eminently likeable Bradley was clear-cut about his best strategy against Pacquiao.
“I know that I’ve got to stay tight, I’ve got to stay behind a good jab and I’ve got to keep moving,” he said. “I’ve got to have great defense and I’ve got to counterpunch the hell out of this guy with combinations.”

The Rage on Manny Pacquiao shocking defeat

LAS VEGAS—The uproar was so loud even Bob Arum was forced to reconsider an earlier announcement of an immediate rematch.
For now, the Hall of Fame promoter is shelving plans for a  Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley II on November 10 even if Pacquiao wishes the rematch to push through.
The 80-year-old Arum, feeling the heat triggered by the bizarre split decision given to Bradley on Saturday night (Sunday morning in Manila), wants an inquiry into whether there was some hanky-panky prior to the bout that made Bradley the new WBO welterweight champion.
“I want to investigate whether there was any undue influence, whether the (Nevada State Athletic Commission) gave any particular instruction and how they came to the conclusion,” Arum told Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports.
Arum’s sudden move for an inquiry runs parallel to the demand of concerned boxing people and the media for a full-blown probe, possibly even a federal investigation.
“There needs to be an independent investigation because it strains credulity that an event everybody saw as one-sided one way, all three judges saw it as close,” Arum added.
Judge Jerry Roth saw the bout, 115-113,  for Pacquiao, but it was overturned by similar 115-113 scores for Bradley given by two fellow judges, C.J. Ross and Duane Ford.
There were reports, according to Marv Dumon  of Examiner.com, that Bradley bets spiked early Saturday morning, putting back the odds to 4-1 in Pacquiao’s favor.
An Irish bookmaker even refunded its customers who put their money on Pacquiao.
Other betting sites also suffered major losses as Pacquiao was thought to be untouchable, even against an unbeaten American champion like Bradley.
Pacquiao, with his bunch of punches and sudden lunges, took Bradley  to education school in the first eight rounds before tapering a bit in the latter part.
To the trained eye and even to ordinary boxing fans, there was no way that Bradley—who showed up in the postfight conference in a wheelchair—could have won, granting that he swept the last four rounds, which he didn’t, even by the questionable scorecards.
As it turned out, Bradley suffered torn ligaments in his left foot and is due for an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) on Monday, according to his manager, Cameron Dunkin. Bradley’s right foot swelled because it got twisted.
Mondejar was shocked
Veteran promoter Lito Mondejar  said he was so sure of a Pacquiao victory that he left the gym early and headed to his hotel nearby.
Imagine his shock when it was flashed on the TV screen in his room that Bradley had won.
“Pacquiao was the clear winner,” said Mondejar, who handled Pacquiao up to 2006 and was one of the wedding sponsors when Manny married Jinkee.
Now retired and living comfortably at a big farm in Kidapawan City, North Cotabato, Mondejar said that from the start, Pacquiao had been beating opponents who ducked, like Juan Manuel Marquez.
“They’ve been studying Manny and they know it now,” Mondejar said.
Even Bradley, though grateful that he had won, was unsure whether he did enough to hand Pacquiao his first loss in the United States since 2005.
November opponent
Bradley said he would watch the replay of the fight.
Pacquiao took a leap of faith from the ring to the pulpit less than 24 hours after his loss. He appeared as the main guest of the Jesus Is Lord evangelical meeting here and showed promise as a pastor.
The Sarangani representative, who was introduced as a champion’s champion by JIL head Bro. Eddie Villanueva, spoke without any notes, impressing the congregation of over 1,000 people, majority of whom were Filipino immigrants.
Pacquiao, who came with Jinkee in tow, even made a PowerPoint presentation of his Pacman Bible Study being held at his Palazzo unit in Hollywood.
Arum said there would be no rematch unless Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto launched an investigation.
Arum, whose company promotes both fighters, said his feeling that Pacquiao had won a wide decision had not changed a day after Bradley was proclaimed winner.
Arum was adamant the result was a mistake but not the result of any chicanery.
Speaking by telephone to Yahoo! Sports, judge Ford said the criticism was  part of the job but said those criticizing the outcome were almost certainly not familiar with the way fights are judged.
“If this were  ‘American Idol,’ without a doubt, Manny Pacquiao would have won,” Ford said. “But it was not. I gave an honest opinion. I had Pacquiao up 4-2, I think, at the end of six rounds. I thought he hurt Bradley a couple of times early in the fight. But when the bell rang to end that round, it was over and what happens in one round doesn’t carry over to the next round.
“In the second half of the fight, Pacquiao picked off a lot of punches to the head, but Bradley landed some hard body shots. That hurt Pacquiao. I don’t mean it hurt him in the sense of it physically hurting him, but in terms of scoring and piling up points …”
Conspiracy theory
Arum said that in the Philippines, “the conspiracy theory is that somehow I arranged this to create a rematch, which would give me another big fight until Floyd (Mayweather, who is serving an 87-day jail sentence) is ready to fight.”
Arum said he was getting so much heat that “we’re asking the attorney general of Nevada to conduct an investigation of everybody, to see what the facts are here.”
“You can’t rely on the (Nevada Athletic Commission) to conduct an investigation, because they’ll whitewash it,” he said.
Arum isn’t the only one calling for reform. HBO’s judge, Harold Lederman, and Lou DiBella, a promoter, are also seeking change.
Lederman scored it 119-109 for Pacquiao.
“They’ve had controversies in Nevada, and it’s about time they start bringing in judges from outside for high-profile fights,” he said.
Politics in boxing
DiBella said it was as likely now to see an indefensible decision as it was to see a fair one.
DiBella has railed on the politics of the sport for years: The ranking organizations are involved with judging, he says, and the judges belong to ranking organizations.
“There are no checks and balances on the judges,” DiBella said.
Arum was so angry shortly after the fight that he told reporters the sport was killing itself.

US Senator backs up probe over Pacquiao-Bradley questionable split decision

WASHINGTON – The top US senator said Tuesday he backs a probe into the split decision giving Timothy Bradley a win over Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao, but said he believed there was “nothing untoward” in the scoring.
Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Undefeated American Bradley won the controversial high-profile championship boxing bout Saturday in Las Vegas in Senator Harry Reid’s home state of Nevada, where the fight’s three judges were under pressure to explain their scoring which many experts have described as flawed.
“If an investigation makes everyone feel better, do the investigation,” Democratic Senate Majority Leader Reid, himself a onetime amateur boxer, told reporters in Washington.
“I am confident that there was nothing untoward, I think people just make bad decisions in a lot of things they do, including judging fights,” he added.
“But it doesn’t hurt to clear the air and take a look at this.”
The bout saw judge Jerry Roth give Pacquiao the fight 115-113, but C.J. Ross and Duane Ford both had Bradley winning by the same score, despite Pacquiao appearing to land the more damaging blows throughout the contest.
The fight’s promoter, Bob Arum, questioned the competence of the judges, the selection process the Nevada State Athletic Commission used to choose them, and the fact that all came from Nevada.
While Arum said after the fight that the scoring was the result of incompetence and not corruption, he said Monday he would ask the Nevada attorney general’s office “for a full and complete inquiry.”
Reid is a former member of the state’s athletic commission, and said he judged a few fights before entering politics.
“It’s an inexact science,” he said. “From all the reports that I’ve seen by people on the outside who saw the fight, who attempted to be fair and judge the fight, Pacquiao won the fight.”
Reid also said the controversy could be an opportunity for him and Republican Senator John McCain to resume their efforts to get a national boxing bill passed in Congress.
“We have not been able to do it. Maybe this will be the impetus that Senator McCain can get back (to) work on that again,” Reid said, adding that he would talk with McCain about the issue.

Bradley said yes to rematch with Pacquiao

LAS VEGAS— New World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Timothy Bradley is willing to give Saranggani Representative Manny Pacquiao a “chance to win his title back.”
Bradley issued this statement early Monday, a day after his controversial victory over Pacquiao via split decision.
“I’ve got to give him (Pacquiao) a chance to win his title back,” Bradley said.
Bradley, a 5-1 underdog despite his unbeaten record, ended a 15-fight winning streak by Pacquiao that dated to 2005 and helped make him a national treasure in his native Philippines.
California’s Bradley, who improved to 29-0 with 12 knockouts, had vowed before the biggest fight of his life to “shock the world” and he did so, despite injuries that manager Cameron Dunkin said Sunday turned out to be a swollen, twisted right ankle and a broken left foot.
Bradley – who arrived at the post-fight press conference in a wheelchair and was taken afterward to hospital for X-rays – said he thought it was in the second round that he stepped on referee Robert Byrd’s foot and “felt a pop”.
“I went back to my corner and said I think I might have broken my foot,” he said.
Trainer Joel Diaz said it was up to him – quit or carry on in the biggest fight of his life.
Bradley’s decision to carry on paid off, although for many his courage was lost in the “shock” of the night – that two judges saw Bradley winning the bout 115-113 while the third gave it to Pacquiao by the same score.
Promoter Bob Arum called it an “unbelievable” decision after Pacquiao appeared to have the fight well in hand.
Through the middle rounds, Pacquiao repeatedly landed his powerful straight left, the 33-year-old champion looking as if he might deliver his first knockout since 2009.
Bradley weathered those rounds and from the seventh made the adjustments that satisfied the judges, even if he never appeared able to hurt Pacquiao.
“I started working with angles, sticking and moving,” said Bradley.
“Most of his punches hit my arms,” Pacquiao said.
The controversy set the stage for a lucrative November re-match.
And Pacquiao said he was determined another fight with Bradley.
But his defeat may prove yet another stumbling block to a Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather mega-fight – a bout that has repeatedly failed to materialize despite the clamor from fans worldwide.
Immediately after the decision was announced, Pacquiao said: “I did my best but I guess my best wasn’t good enough.”
Later, Pacquiao’s usual smile seemed a bit strained as he told disappointed fans to keep their faith in boxing.
“Whatever happens, don’t be discouraged about boxing,” he said. “Next time.”

Manny Pacquiao, Tim Bradley post fight Press Conference

Following one of the most controversial decisions in boxing history, Timothy Bradley, Manny Pacquiao, Bob Arum and Freddie Roach took to the podium in Las Vegas to give their thoughts on the welterweight bout.
There were few surprises from Pacquiao and his trainer, Roach, both of whom rightfully thought they were robbed by the judges.
Despite the fact that Pacquiao landed more punches (253-159), more power punches (190-109) and a higher percentage of his power punches (38.5-27.7), the ringside judges scored the fight 115-113, 113-115, 115-113 in favor of Bradley.

Timothy Bradley shocks the World by beating Manny Pacquiao

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Timothy Bradley (29-0, 12KOs) shocked the world by winning a close twelve round split decision over Manny Pacquiao (54-4-2, 38KOs) to capture the WBO welterweight title. The scores 115-113 for Pacquiao, 115-113 for Bradley and 115-113 for Bradley.
Bradley started the fight in full control for most of the first round. He was quicker with his defensive movements. Pacquiao started to rally in the final ten seconds. Bradley was making it a rough fight in the second round, but Pacquiao was returning heavy fire that pushed Bradley back often. Bradley, to his credit, was not intimidated and usually countered back with fast combinations. Thing certainly got more heated in the third round, with Pacquiao starting to attack more often and Bradley doing his best to answer back.
In the fourth, the fight continued to get rough. Bradley was taking the fight to Pacquiao, who was outhustling the challenger with more accurate punches. Bradley looked a little stunned by a combination in the final minute. Rather than hold, he stood and traded punches with Pacquiao until the bell. Both fighters had their moments in the fifth round. And they also closed strong by trading punches, toe to toe, in the final minute with the entire crowd on their feet.
Pacquiao controlled the action in the sixth. Bradley came back in the seventh with a lot of defense and he never stopped trading punches with Pacquiao to make it close. More toe toe to toe action in the eight and ninth, with Pacquiao getting the better of the exchanges and doing more damage. They slowed down in the tenth. At this point Pacquiao appeared to be the fresher fighter of the two. Bradley continued to slow down in the eleventh, although Pacquiao wasn't doing too much himself. Bradley certainly closed better than Pacquiao in the final round. Pacquiao was stalking him, looking to land something big, but Bradley was slipping a lot of punches and landing well placed counters.

Pacquiao lost to Bradley:"How that happens?"
