The threats of the Tulfo brothers, aired on TV5, have reached actor Raymart Santiago.
“Of course, it can be scary,” Santiago admitted to the Inquirer in a phone interview last night. “I’m just a simple person. I don’t go around with bodyguards like Mon Tulfo. At the police precinct, he was surrounded by goons.”
In an earlier TV interview, one of the Tulfo brothers challenged him to a round two of the brawl.
“Why should I fight with them? This is between me and his brother; not them. It’s not right. There’s no reason for us to quarrel,” Santiago said. “We’re not boxers.”
Still, he said he trusts that no harm can befall him.
“I am not scared. God is on our side. I’m not afraid because we are in the right,” he asserted.
He said that he could walk around in public confidently. “We have lots of allies, true friends who are praying for us,” he said. “They know the real me.”
He has advice for the Tulfo brothers: “They should try to get to the bottom of the issue first. They should sit down with their brother and find out the truth.”
In a press conference, Santiago said the YouTube video showing a group of people ganging up on Tulfo only showed the latter part of what happened.
Santiago’s lawyer, Alex Avisado, appealed to people who might have videos or photos of the incident “to come out,” claiming the YouTube video “does not capture the whole story.”
Avisado said the Santiago side was contemplating filing physical injuries charges against Tulfo as well as a case of child abuse for the trauma which he said Santiago’s children suffered
