MANILA, Philippines – Television host and former actress Amy Perez recently announced that she is three months pregnant.
Perez, who is 40 years old, said she is more cautious with her third pregnancy, as she expressed concerns over bearing a baby at her age.
"Nagkaroon kami ng paguusap ng doctor, kasi ‘pag ganitong 21 [joke] and above na, medyo hirap na tayo sa katawan natin, so medyo kailangan mas maingat," Perez told entertainment talk show "Paparazzi."
Perez is in a relationship with news reporter Carlo Castillo, with whom she has a 3-year-old baby.
The former "Magandang Tanghali Bayan" host also has a child with her former husband Brix Ferraris, named Adi.
"Actually very happy si Adi (about the pregnancy). Siya pa nga nag-break ng news sa family, naiiyak-iyak siya, excited siya. Syempre 'yung 3-and-a-half naming bunso, pinapaliwanagan namin ni Carlo na 'di na siya bunso, magiging kuya na siya," Perez shared.
Although she currently lives with Castillo, Perez's marriage with Ferraris has yet to be annulled.
"For the past six years na naging kami ni Carlo, 'yun lang naman din ang hinihiniling namin," Perez said, referring to the annulment. "Once and for all, maayos na lahat ng legalities."
"Ano ka na rin 'yun, way of saying thanks to Carlo's family for accepting me and Adi and loving us," she added.
As Perez attends to her pregnancy, she will be on temporary leave from her talk show duties.
